Gujarat Income Tax department conducted search and seizure operation on more than 32 locations of Khavda Group of Companies. The operation began on November 11 and it was concluded after four days of investigation. The income tax department has seized 18.3 crore cash from “secret” offices of the owners. Apart from this, 50 lakhs of jewellery was seized from 15 lockers of the company–two lockers are yet to be opened. The company was also involved in holding Benami properties in the State. In total over 400 crores of unaccounted income is detected from the Khavda group.
Khavda Group is a business conglomerate. They are into sweets, cooking oil, financial services and other diverse businesses. The company is owned by Anant Tanna and Ritesh Tanna. The involvement of business partners JD Balsara, Harish Sota along with Anant-Ritesh Tanna of Khavda Group has also come to light. Owners were operating from hidden offices which were raided by the I-T department.
Offices and residences of directors in Gandhidham, Anjar and Bhuj were under the radar of the investigation wing of the I-T department. More than 200 officials carried out the operation spearheaded by the Rajkot Income Tax department.
Anant Chamanlal Tanna, is the director of Khavda Exim India. He is associated with five companies including Sea Leaf Resort Private Limited, Khavda Multicom Private Limited, Khavda Finance Limited and others. The total paid-up capital of all companies where Anant Tanna holds active positions is ₹10,297,000.00. He was previously associated with 2 companies, Khavda Properties Private Limited, Holiday Village Resorts Private Limited.
Khavda Exim India Private Limited
One of their companies that was dealing in unaccounted income was Khavda Exim India Private Limited . The company was incorporated on April 16, 2011. Its registered office is in Kachchh, Gujarat. It’s a company limited by shares having an authorised capital of Rs 5 lakh and a paid-up capital of Rs 1.30 lakh as per MCA. It has six directors–major directors include: Vinod Lalchand Lalwani, Anant Chamanlal Tanna, Parag Champklal Premani.

Khavda Multicom Private Limited is an unlisted private company incorporated on March 07, 2018. It is classified as a private limited company and is located in Kachchh.
