The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for several districts in Gujarat, signaling the likelihood of heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours. Residents in Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Dang, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli should be prepared for heavy to very heavy rain during this period.

Meanwhile, Vadodara, Panchmahal, Dahod (Chhota Udaipur), Amreli and Bhavnagar have been placed under a yellow alert, indicating the possibility of heavy rain.

For the rest of the state, IMD predicts light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and surface winds ranging from 32 to 40 km/h.

Starting July 8, the intensity of rainfall is expected to decrease across all parts of Gujarat, with only light to moderate rain forecasted until July 11.
