Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s lifelong dream is to adapt the Hindu epic Mahabharata into a film. Nearly a decade ago Aamir expressed his wish to make a film on Mahabharata and said he is scared to work on it.
With several successes and failures in his career, Aamir Khan feels he is not ready to make his dream project and might have put his most anticipated film – Mahabharat – on hold for now.
Talking about his dream project, Aamir said,” When you are making a film on Mahabharata, you are not just making a film. You are performing a Yagya. It is not just a film, it is much more. And, that is why I am not ready for it yet. I am scared of bringing it out. Mahabharata will never let you down, but you may let down Mahabharata.”
”It is a desire. The project is huge. It is a dream project for me. But if I decide that I am making it today, I will have to give 20 years to it. This is why I am scared. If I say yes and decide to make it, five years will go only in research and then to execute it…. the material is very exciting for me.” adds Aamir.
During his appearance on Koffee With Karan, Aamir Khan revealed that it took him 14 years to complete Laal Singh Chaddha- his upcoming film on August 11, thus showing the kind of dedication he puts into every project.
