Real life couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone appeared as guests on the first episode of ‘Koffee with Karan season 8’, the popular chat show hosted by Karan Johar, where they spoke on a variety of topics, albeit with a humorous vein.
Both of them were looking gorgeous in their complete black attire. Their conversations were so lovely, their wittiness, humour, and fun element were so spot on in the show that they set a really high benchmark for other guests who are lined up to appear on it in later episodes.
Having delivered Blockbusters on screen together, the duo appeared together for the first time on television screen with one of the biggest talk shows. And as the show has returned, it’s a refreshing change and a good move for the opening couple, Deepika and Ranveer to keep the conversations so full of love and joy.
Throughout the episode, Ranveer and Deepika didn’t miss the chance to address their love towards each other, and kept space in the room for Karan to talk about his battle with depression as well! One of the highlights from the show, was truly when Karan opened up about not feeling his best, and Deepika comforting him with, “I am here for you Karan, whenever you need!”
From the past few years, Karan Johar’s chat show along with providing entertainment, has also been targeted for the hate it sometimes brings, the comparisons and for putting people down. But it’s such a beautiful change that this new season’s latest episode starring the couple of substance, Deepika and Ranveer have done everything but that.
The show was still studded with lots of good moments. One of the many best moments that the audience also got to witness through this episode is how they sat put next to each other, radiating power, love and gratitude just as they do in their real life. Stay together, and as Deepika said, the one vow they would renew is, “Continue doing what they’ve been doing!”
As Karan watched the couple’s, ‘made with love’ wedding video, he teared up and said, “God! There’s a line in my film ki aisa lagta hai ki mere dil ka pet bhar gaya hai” which translates to my heart is full!

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe ‘Singham Again’, while individually, Deepika Padukone will be seen in Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan and Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor.
