Horrifying details have been revealed in the FIR in connection with the case of the Spanish travel vlogger who was allegedly gangraped recently. She was raped by seven men in Jharkhand’s Dumka district on March 1.
The vlogger has stated in the FIR that she was allegedly threatened with a dagger, kicked, punched and then raped by seven men. The incident lasted for two-and-a-half hours, according to the victim.
The police arrested the three accused on March 3. On Tuesday, five more people were arrested in the case, taking the total to eight.
The 28-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped at Kurumahat in Hansdiha police station area, around 300 km from state capital Ranchi. When the incident occurred she was in a tent with her husband, the police said.
The woman’s statement was recorded at 2.05 am on March 2 at the community health centre, and an FIR was registered under IPC sections 376D (gangrape) and 395 (dacoity).
According to the FIR, three men started fighting with the victim’s husband before assaulting him and tying his hands. Four other men picked her up after showing her a dagger and threw her on the ground. The victim alleged that she was kicked, punched and raped repeatedly by seven men.
All seven men seemed to be slightly drunk. The incident took place from around 7.30 pm to 10 pm, the FIR says quoting the victim.
On Tuesday, the couple left for Nepal via Bihar on their motorcycles to continue their world tour. “People of India are nice. I don’t blame the people, but I blame the criminals. People of India have treated me very well, and were very kind to me,” said the woman.
“We chose the place for the night stay because it was calm and beautiful…We have been in India for the last six months and travelled around 20,000 km. We did not have any problems anywhere…,” she said.
