As 2023 draws to a close, people are getting ready for 2024. One of the questions on everyone’s mind is how many holidays they will have in the new year. The answer is now available, as the central government has released the list of gazetted and restricted holidays for 2024. Gazetted holidays are compulsory for government employees, while restricted holidays are optional. According to the government’s list, there will be 17 gazetted and 31 restricted holidays in 2024. Restricted holidays may vary depending on the state and the institution, as they are not mandatory. Below are the lists of both types of holidays.
