High Commission of India in Colombo has received requests from Sri Lankan citizens in respect of visa and consular services.
In the view of current surge of COVID cases, fatalities and the prevalence of Delta variant in Sri Lanka, the High Commission has taken necessary steps to stringently comply with COVID-apt attendance and behaviour at work place in the larger interest of public health. This may in some cases imply more time for delivery of public services, including the matter related to visa and consular services.
Therefore, individuals wishing to avail the visa and consular services from the High Commission are requested to plan accordingly, considering the situation.
The High Commission reiterates its strong commitment to further strengthening the age-old, close and friendly ties between the two counties by promoting people-to-people exchanges through safe and COVID-apt travel.
