After months of speculation, Tiger Shroff-starrer Heropanti 2 finally hit theatres Friday. Early box office figures indicate a hopeful note for the film. Heropanti 2 casts Tiger as Babloo who locks horns with Laila (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), in a crackdown on cybercrimes across the world.
The film received a mixed review on social media. While some expressed discontent, and even termed it “headache,” “disaster” and “waste of time,” still others have called it “paisa vasool” and complete masala entertainer. A section of particularly disappointed viewers chose to label the film as “survival test.” However, the film’s leading lady did not receive encouraging feedback. Most chose to describe her as “irritating.”
Taking to Instagram, a UAE-based film critic noted: “On the whole, Heropanti 2 is a masala entertainer which scores high on action and performances from Tiger Shroff and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. At the box office, it will be lapped up by masses on account of masala quotient.”
