Monsoons, although are a little late this year have geared up during the past few days in various parts of the country. Heavy rainfall with thundershowers occurred in West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, and some parts of Bihar. Midnapore of West Bengal proved to be the rainiest city in India with 230 mm of rainfall.
As per the Meteorological Department, scattered light to moderate rain with few heavy spells is expected over West Bengal, Jharkhand, parts of Bihar, parts of Punjab, Haryana, North East Rajasthan, and north Madhya Pradesh.
