Several parts of Gujarat, especially Saurashtra, South Gujarat and Central Gujarat. In the last 24 hours, 147 talukas in the state have received heavy to very heavy rainfall. Gujarat has received 83 per cent rainfall so far and it seems that the state’s rainfall deficiency will be met with as the weather office predicts stormy rains in the coming days
According to the meteorological department, dark heavy clouds loomed across several talukas of Gujarat starting from the wee hours of Monday morning. The highest rainfall was recorded in several districts of Saurashtra and also Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Vadodara, Banaskantha and Chhota Udepur.

Botad also received rains in rural areas including Barwala town. Heavy rains were recorded in several villages including Kundal, Navada, Rojind of Barwala. Due to heavy rains, farmers are likely to face damage to their cotton crops. Farmers in Dhasa and Gaddha of Botad are also worried about the heavy downpour. In Botad, heavy rains have affected rural areas including Dhasa, Patna, Pipardi, Jalalpar.
