Gujarat is once again in the grip of extreme heat after a brief dip in temperatures last week. The maximum in most districts of the state soared to 40 degrees or above from Monday.
After remaining unchanged for the next three days, the temperature will increase by two to three degrees, says the MeT department. By the end of April, many places in Gujarat may see temperatures in the 42-43 degrees range.

At present, winds are blowing over Gujarat from the north-west direction, due to which the temperature is slowly rising.

While the maximum temperature of Gandhinagar was 38.6 degrees Celsius, the in Ahmedabad city reached 37 degree Celsius, which is likely to increase to around 40 degree Celsius late in the evening.
