Daniel Radcliffe and longtime girlfriend Erin Darke are expecting their first child together.
On Saturday, a representative for the Harry Potter star revealed that Darke is pregnant. The two met while working on the 2013 movie, Kill Your Darlings, which had Radcliffe as the celebrated poet Allen Ginsberg and Darke as a character who has a romantic encounter with him.
The 33-year-old actor, whose last year’s film Weird: The Al Yankovic Story featured him as the humorous musician “Weird Al” Yankovic, doesn’t frequently talk about his personal life and is not active on social media.
During 2022, Radcliffe offered his take on why his private life doesn’t usually dominate media headlines. “I think in the years since I’ve been sober, I just don’t do anything interesting enough,” he reasoned. “As an actor, I just want to live my life and see my friends, and I just want the thing people talk about to be the work.”
When promoting his appearance alongside Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum in the comedy film, The Lost City, in March 2022, Radcliffe said that he and Darke have been “very happy” together. “I’ve got a really nice life. I’ve been with my girlfriend for a decade, pretty much,” he said.
Actress Darke has made several appearances on Radcliffe’s television show Miracle Workers. She also has appearances in the movies Thank You for Your Service and Don’t Think Twice in addition to a recurrent role on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
