YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, who was arrested by Noida police on Saturday after his birthday bash resulted in chaos, has finally issued a statement along with his wife Ritu Rathee. In the statement, the couple has claimed that they had taken all the necessary permissions to host the party at Noida Metro station. They have also said that their fans who attended the party were in no way violent or raise any objectionable slogans. They said their fans were there to wish Gaurav and that they both were overwhelmed by their love.
Meanwhile, the police have claimed that Taneja had booked a coach in Noida metro at the Sector 51 metro station, but he had permission to have just 200 guests. However, thousands of fans showed up and there was a stampede-like situation. The police have said the same in the FIR. As such, the police have arrested Taneja under Section 188 for violating Section 144.
In the joint statement, given to an English publication, the couple have further said that they would be carrying out appropriate legal action in the matter.
Gaurav Taneja who has over 3.3 million followers on Instagram, is one of the most popular Youtubers in India with three working Youtube Channels named ‘Flying Beast’, ‘Fit Muscle TV’, and ‘Rasbhari Ke Papa’. He regularly posts daily vlogs, live streams as well as fitness videos. His wife Ritu Rathee, who is also a well-known figure on Instagram with about 1.6 million followers.
