Gandhinagar, Gujarat: The Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GujRERA) is set to establish a new office complex, aptly named “RERA Bhavan,” in Gandhinagar. This new facility will house both the RERA authority and the tribunal under one roof, streamlining operations and enhancing accessibility for stakeholders.
GujRERA has finalized the acquisition of a 3,500 square meter plot near Sargasan from the Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority (Guda) for approximately Rs 44 crore. The land acquisition process is underway, and construction is expected to commence soon.
Currently, the GujRERA office operates in Sahyog Sankul, while the tribunal functions from Karmayogi Bhavan, both within Gandhinagar city. Consolidating their presence under RERA Bhavan is expected to improve efficiency and provide greater convenience to individuals seeking the authority’s services.
“We envision RERA Bhavan as a landmark structure symbolic of our commitment to the burgeoning real estate sector in Gujarat,” remarked a GujRERA official. “This dedicated headquarters will not only facilitate smoother internal operations but also offer stakeholders a centralized point of contact for addressing their concerns.”
Plans for the new building reveal a unique design that reflects GujRERA’s association with the state’s real estate industry. Further details about the architectural concept are yet to be unveiled.
This move by GujRERA underscores its dedication to fostering a transparent and well-regulated real estate environment in Gujarat. The establishment of RERA Bhavan promises to expedite grievance redressal, promote investor confidence, and ultimately contribute to the sustainable growth of the state’s property market.
