The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, a biennial event hosted by the state government, has emerged as a successful platform for artisans. The summit, taking place at the Mahatma Mandir, demonstrated an impressive blend of industry, art-culture, and e-commerce in its 10th edition.
A unique marketplace, known as ‘haat’, was organized within the Mahatma Mandir campus by ‘Garvi Gurjari’. This haat exhibited a wide variety of 58 products from 33 districts, including warm shawls, Bandhani dupattas, sarees, and Agate decorations.
One of the distinctive features of this haat was its cashless payment system. All transactions were conducted through UPI payments, reflecting the growing trend and security of online transactions. This innovative approach led to ‘Garvi Gurjari’ artisans achieving sales of an estimated Rs. 73,000 or more in just one day.
In addition to UPI, the ‘Garvi Gurjari’ haat also accepts online and international cards, making the purchasing process even more convenient for visitors.
