A Gujarat youth from the tribal district of Chhota Udepur has been nabbed by Ahmedabad police for faking an air ticket.
According to the police, a youth approached the Qatar Airways ticket counter at Ahmedabad International Airport at around 3 am. He started arguing with the ticket staff after they expressed their helplessness as they could not locate his ticket details on their computers. The man identified as 24-year-old Krishna Vijay Patel said he was from Saalpura village in Bodeli taluka and had to board a Qatar Airways flight. However, the PNR number on his ticket did not match with any tickets booked by the airlines. The airways staff requested the CISF personnel on duty to tackle the man as he had begun shouting at the inefficiency of the staff.
CISF Inspector Kapil Verma who was on duty took hold of the young man. After interrogation, the young man admitted that he had himself faked a ticket. The Airport police are further investigating the motive behind this crime after booking Krishna Patel under IPC 465, 467,468 and 471.
