On Monday (April 11, 2022), six workers were killed in a blast at a chemical facility in Gujarat’s Bharuch district, according to police.
According to the official, the incident occurred about 3 a.m. in a unit in the Dahej industrial area, around 235 kilometres from Ahmedabad. A chemical facility caught fire as a result of the explosion.
The six victims were working near a reactor when it abruptly blew off during the solvent distillation process, according to Bharuch Superintendent of Police Leena Patil.
