VMC Vadaodara Municipal Corporation finds itself in a tough spot as the city has discovered “Roads without destinations”. It seems that to hike up the land prices local land holder and housing developer are using these roads to fuel up their land prices.
Opposition leaders of VMC Ami Ravat and social activist Swejal Vyas found such roads in Laxmipura and chhani area of the city. After these no destination roads surfaced in these area, it came into light that a prominent BJP leader also has land in this area.
Ami Ravat has found such roads without destinations in Bhayli and Ankhol area, she said that she visited these places after she received information from the people living in these areas, she also said that she has found such roads in kalali manjulpur and vemali areas of Vadodara.
Interesting thing is that MLA from the Dabhoi area from the ruling BJP party Shailesh Mehta “Sotta” has also claimed that even he has found such roads and has wrote a letter to chief minister, He says that this is a conspiracy for personal interest by local housing developers.
These roads has solved no purpose so far and the only benefit they have bought along is for the land developer as they have hiked the land price on basis of these roads.
On this VUDA Official Ashok Patel has said that these roads were made with the idea of bringing development to these areas by providing the infra and they have also brought out tenders for sewage lines.
