With the conclusion of Navratri on Thursday and Diwali knocking doors being just 15 days far, Gujarat on Saturday recorded a total of 22 fresh COVID-19 cases in the 11th instance of 20 plus COVID-19 cases in October so far. Out of total cases, 45% of the cases were recorded in cities.
The fresh COVID-19 cases in the state on Saturday include 5 cases from Ahmedabad city, 5 from Surat, 4 each from Surat city and Valsad. Junagadh recorded 2 cases and Vadodara city and Navsari registered 1 case each, taking the total tally of cases in the day to 22. However, the state recoreded its 11-day low on Friday with 14 new COVID-19 cases.
In total, 21 COVID-19 patients were discharged on Saturday and with this the active cases in the state increased by 1 to reach 213 cases.
