Days are coming to an end for campaigning for the first phase of the Gujarat assembly elections, and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal attempted to turn the tide in his favor by holding a roadshow in Surat. A day earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had done a road show on this route. Like the Prime Minister’s roadshow, Kejriwal also witnessed a huge crowd. During the road show, a stone was hurled toward Kejriwal near the Dhanmora Complex in Katargam. However, caused no injuries were caused.
After the stone pelting, Kejriwal was made to sit inside the car by the security personnel. A large number of policemen were deployed for Kejriwal’s security. After some time Kejriwal resumed the roadshow. During this, the Chief Minister of Delhi said that if he had worked for 27 years, then there would have been no need to pelt stones today. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Alpesh Kathiria said that the public will answer this stone in the elections.
AAP’s state chief Gopal Italia is in the fray from Katargam. He is up against Urban Development Minister Veenu Moradia. The Congress has given a chance to the Prajapati candidate on this Patel-dominated seat. Stone pelting also took place in Gopal Italia’s meeting.
During this, Kejriwal said that private schools in Delhi were looted. We audited all the private schools as soon as we arrived. Leading schools of the country have deposited FDs worth Rs 50,000 crore in banks. They are looting you by increasing your fees and getting FDs done in the bank with your fees. This is a big crime, because schools are charitable trusts, they cannot collect money. Hoarding money is a crime. Canceled the FDs of all their schools and returned the old fees. We have returned all the fees that the parents had taken in the last four-five years. Never before in Indian history has your school money returned to you. And then issued an order that no one can increase the fees without the approval of the government. If you want to increase the fees then you have to tell the government why you want to increase the fees. No one has increased the fees in Delhi for 7 years, we will do the same in Gujarat.
We have given free treatment to every person in Delhi. Today, if someone becomes seriously ill, their house, land, property, and jewelry have to be mortgaged, but in Delhi, the treatment is all free. Whether rich or poor, treatment is free for all, all medicines are free, all tests are free, and no matter how big the operation is, it is also free. We provided free treatment to two crore people in Delhi and now we are going to do the same in Punjab.
100 mohalla clinic have been opened in Punjab and more will be opened. Mohalla Clinic will be opened in every small village after Aam Aadmi Party comes to power in Gujarat. In this way, 20,000 Mohalla Clinics will be opened in Gujarat. No matter how serious the disease is, everyone will be treated free of cost. All treatment of 6.5 crore people in Gujarat will be done free of cost.
These people tell me that Kejriwal is distributing free money, free money. Because they are afraid that if Kejriwal’s government comes and distributes everything to the people, then their loot will stop. Congress and BJP have become one. Either way, these people have decided that the Aam Aadmi Party should not form the government. A strong storm of change is blowing inside Gujarat.
The entire Gujarat is demanding change. I request the people of Gujarat, don’t get cheated this time, and don’t divide your votes by voting for Congress. They don’t defeat BJP by voting for Congress. Don’t waste your vote by voting for Congress.
Congress is getting less than 10 seats and whatever seats it gets will later join BJP. This time Gujarat does not want a double-engine government, it needs a new government. I have come here only to ask for one chance. Congress 70 years, BJP 27 years, just give it a chance. If I do not work, I will not come to ask for votes. A big change is about to come, you all should be a part of this change. Together we will make a new Gujarat.
