Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia arrived in Ahmedabad on Wednesday to start his six-day visit to Gujarat in the run up to the state Assembly elections. He visited the Gandhi Ashram and tried his hand at spinning the famous charkha.
He said, “Such charkha used to be in my house and today I feel lucky that I am able to operate this charkha by coming to Sabarmati Ashram. India will become the world’s number one nation only by following the path shown by Bapu.”
He will take part in a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Himmatnagar town of Sabarkantha and will also address gatherings in Prantij town of the district during the day.
“I have come on a six-day Gujarat tour and will go from place to place in six days. Gujarat is asking for change and for inspiration in which direction to take that change, I came to visit Bapu’s ashram today and took Bapu’s blessings here,” he adds. Sisodia will leave for Himmatnagar today, from where he will join the yatra.
