A man, identified as Prakash, lost his life in Gujarat on Monday after his cousin allegedly inserted a compressor pipe into his private parts during what was described as a prank, according to police.
The incident took place in Kadi, where Prakash had visited his brother Ghevabhai and their friends, who were employed at a metal company.
Police reported that in the evening, while the group was relaxing, Alpesh, Prakash’s cousin, inserted the high-pressure compressor pipe into Prakash’s private parts as a joke. This led to air being forcibly introduced into his body.
Prakash immediately began vomiting and lost consciousness. He was rushed to the nearest hospital and later transferred to the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police told a section of the media that Prakash had visited his brother and cousin as his workplace was closed for Republic Day on Sunday.
According to Ghevabhai, Alpesh was fully aware of the high air pressure in the compressor pipe but still proceeded with the act, which ultimately caused Prakash’s death.
A formal complaint was lodged by Ghevabhai, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident. Authorities noted that the act was intended as a prank but resulted in tragic consequences.
