With senior Gujarat bureaucrat Rajiv Gupta retiring on Tuesday, the State Government has given the additional charge of key industries and mines department to Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Raj Kumar and that of Managing Director, Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam, to State Development Commissioner Sandeep Kumar.
As Additional Chief Secretary, Gupta handled both the critical posts when he retired on May 31.
According to an official press release, Sandeep Kumar would hold the additional charge of MD, SSNNL, until JP Gupta, who is Principal Secretary (Finance), soon takes it up.
