In a major reshuffle, the Gujarat government has transferred several top-ranking IAS and IRS officers. IAS Sonal Mishra, the Commissioner of Rural Development, has been appointed as the Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in New Delhi. Meanwhile, Milind Torawane, the Chief Commissioner of State Tax in Ahmedabad, has been transferred to the Commissioner of Rural Development.

Additionally, Manoj Kumar Das, the Additional Chief Secretary to the government of Ports and Transport, has been transferred to the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Panchayats, Rural Housing, and Rural Development. Samir Vakil, the Commissioner of State Tax in Ahmedabad, will hold additional charge of the Chief Commissioner of State Tax. These transfers will take effect immediately.
