Gujarat’s election campaigning has reached a fever pitch this week, with top BJP, Congress, and AAP officials camping in the state. All of the star campaigners are in the state to campaign.
Various programs, including welcome and receptions, are being held throughout the country in this regard. Because flowers are in high demand in all of these programs, the flower market is heating up this winter. There has been a significant increase in the demand for foreign flower bouquets, as well as some new flower varieties. People are lining up to buy such flowers despite the huge price increase. Because of this, the traders are in a good mood.
Wedding season, on the one hand, and elections, on the other, have resulted in a significant increase in flower sales compared to normal days, according to flower market traders. Flowers weighing up to 2000 kg are sold. On average, 200 to 500 kg of flowers are traded every day. Currently, 1500 to 2000 kg of flowers are being sold due to the election and wedding seasons. People are willing to buy flowers despite significant price increases.
Furthermore, they stated that various flowers such as the Dutch rose, Transvaal Daisy (gerbera), anthurium, running rose, and marigold flowers are making a splash. New flower varieties, such as “Bottom India” and “Sun of India,” have gained popularity among people and leaders.
The election will be completed after a few days. But since the wedding season is going on for a long time, there is no possibility of a decrease in the demand for flowers for the next month or so.
