In Gujarat, an electoral wave and a triangular tussle are transpiring ahead of next month’s state assembly election. The streets of Gujarat are pulsating with the rallies and campaigns of prominent political leaders.
In the midst of campaigns, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) released a list of star campaigners including MP Manoj Tiwari. On Tuesday, he addressed three different public gatherings in Dabhoi, Bapunagar and Baherampura. Tiwari was backing the local candidates of their respective areas. In Bapunagar, people are switching their votes between Congress and BJP in every election. This time, BJP is pushing hard to collect votes into their pocket.
Dineshbhai Rajendrasinh Kushwah, the local candidate contesting from Bapunagar appeals to people not to switch sides. He appreciated the people for electing eight councillors (four from Bapunagar) of the BJP. “Bring me this time, and you won’t regret it,” Kushwah said. “Congress is not people-friendly. They have ruined plans to fulfil the basic necessities of people of Bapunagar”.
He emphasised the employment issues in Bapunagar and assured eradication. He praised PM Modi for making Gujarat Model into India Model. He reiterated the motive of the BJP which is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas’.
In the end, Manoj Tiwari took a jibe at Congress and Rahul Gandhi. He mocked Congress by singing in Bhojpuri. “PM Modi’s Gujarat is India’s favourite. He saved this state from the hate politics of Congress,” he said. “Thank you Gujarat for giving Narendra Modi to India, we owe you”.
The crowd of Bapunagar chanted slogans such as ‘Jai Shree Ram’, Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. The fate of the BJP is in the hands of the people of Bapunagar.
