As Gujarat gears up for the assembly elections this week, PM Modi continued his campaign in Gujarat today, speaking at public meetings in Palitana and Anjar. PM Modi said in his first rally of the day that the Bhavnagar and Saurashtra regions embody ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.’ In his second address at Anjar, PM Modi talked about the upliftment of Kutch after the devastating earthquake in 2001.
PM Modi slammed the opposition, accusing it of repeatedly dividing Gujarat and failing to put an end to the state’s rampant terror during its tenure. “Illiteracy, and malnutrition had become the misfortune of Gujarat’s villages,” PM Modi continued. PM Modi noted the difference between the BJP and the Congress, saying, “But when Gujarat trusted the BJP, things began to change.” The BJP has prioritized the security of Gujarat. We created an atmosphere of harmony in every village and city.
PM Modi went on to praise the BJP government’s efforts to promote tourism in the state, saying, “BJP has worked to make Gujarat a major tourist destination in the country.”
PM Modi stated that “The Congress has always encouraged those who oppose the Sardar Sarovar Dam.” The people of Kutch will never forget such a party that created obstacles for them. PM Modi continued, “The BJP government’s hard work for Kutch is paying off.” Kutch now exports a wide range of agricultural products.
PM Modi elaborated on the tourism possibilities in Kutch, saying, ‘There are so many tourism possibilities in Kutch that even several days fall short to come here.’ BJP has worked to promote tourism in the Kutch region, said PM Modi. According to him, “under the Vibrant Village Scheme, modern facilities will be provided in the villages adjacent to the border, and they will be developed from the standpoint of tourism.” He further said that the BJP does not consider border areas or border villages to be the country’s last village, but rather it’s first.
PM Modi finally addressed the people about industrial development in the Kutch region, saying that the industrial sector is flourishing because of good roads, wide highways, and better airport connectivity. PM Modi discussed Kutch’s role in hosting the world’s largest Renewable Energy Hybrid Park, which will create thousands of jobs.
