The Gujarat city of Dharampur has constructed a gigantic (31.5 ft) Shivling built of 31 million “Rudrakshas” to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri.
People travelled from all across the state to Dharampur to witness the unveiling of the enormous Shivling on February 17.
Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Nitin Gadkari, the Minister of the union, among many other politicians, expressed their warmest greetings for the Hindu holiday that celebrates the union of Shiva and Shakti.
In order to establish the date for the opening of Shri Kedarnath Dham’s kapat (doors), one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, it is important to remember that construction on the Shri Omkareshwar Temple complex at Ukhimath has been completed.
The time has not yet been determined. For this occasion, the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has made special arrangements.
