As part of its stratergy to strenghern its base ahead of assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party is reaching out to some of the Muslim MLAs of the Congress Party. Dariyapur MLA of the INC Gujarat made these allegations while speaking at a convention in Ahmedabad.
Sheikh alleged that his collegues Imran Khedawala and Javed Peerzada were approached by the Arvind Kejriwal-led party. AAP recently inducted Congress biggie from Rajkot, Indranil Rajyaguru in the party and they established leaders to take their party forward as they will fight their first assembly elections in Gujarat.
At the same convention he took a jibe at his own state party leadership. He said party should not ask us to get 100 percent votes from the Muslim community, instead our focus should be on winning. He further added that no party MLA gets 100% votes of the community he belongs to.
