Before heading to Japan and Singapore, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made a brief stop in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He performed a puja of Bhagwan Ram and reviewed the land that has been set aside for the construction of the Gujarat Bhavan in Shahnevajipur Manjha.
The Chief Minister landed at the Ramkatha Park helipad. He then went to the Hanumangarhi temple and then had darshan of Lord Shri Ram while checking on the temple’s construction. The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated land in Ayodhya for the construction of buildings for each state, including Gujarat Bhavan.
Gujarat has been given 6,000 square meters of land in the New Ayodhya township, according to reports. The Chief Minister went to the allotted land and looked it over. Several states from across the country, as well as several countries, have shown interest in building guesthouses in the new Ayodhya, which spans approximately 18 acres. Ayodhya already has Gujarati temples and Dharamshalas. Every year, around 5 lakh devotees from Gujarat visit Ayodhya.
The Chief Minister of Gujarat’s trip to Ayodhya was originally scheduled for October 10. He planned on having darshan at the Hanumangadhi mandir and witnessing the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi mandir. He was to spend two hours in Ayodhya, where he was to open a Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL) office and look at the land that had been set aside for the Gujarat State guest house.
