Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel flew kites with other people at the International Kite Festival in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
The festival, which attracts kite fliers from across the world, showcases a variety of kites, some of which feature images of Lord Rama and the Ram Temple.
The festival, which was inaugurated by Bhupendra Patel on November 24, is based on the G-20 theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future”. It aims to promote love for nature and tourism in Gujarat. The festival also offers food stalls and cultural activities for the visitors.
According to the Tourism Department, Government of Gujarat, over 100 kite fliers from several countries including India are participating in this festival. The festival is expected to draw a crowd of around 50,000 people this year.
