Ahmedabad Cyber Cell has nabbed 4 cryptocurrency scammers who had committed a scam of Rs 50 crore in Bultron coin.
Reportedly, one accused from Ahmedabad and three from Surat, have been arrested. The Ahmedabad Cyber Cell arrested Raju Shikhabhai Lukhi, Altaf Amarali Wadhwania, Vijay Shantilal Patel and Zulfiqar Barkat Ali Halani.
Accused Altaf Wadhwania had cheated people by launching a new coin in Ahmedabad after he was released on bail in the NCR coin case. Vijay Patel also embezzled people’s money in the name of CNBC and GSAB.
Altaf Wadhwania was booked in the year 2018 at Surat’s Sarthana police station in the name of NCR Coin for a fraud worth of crores. The Surat Crime Branch arrested Altaf and sent him to jail. As soon as Altaf was released on bail, he along with his friends launched a bulletin coin in Ahmedabad and scammed crores. The accused Vijay Patel, Ankur Khokhar and Jitu Vaghasia were involved in Beat Power, CNBC and GSAB scams.
