Sola Police on Friday seized 66 bottles of alcohol from a retired businessman’s residence. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid in the house where they found two men selling alcohol illegally.
The accused namely Sanjay Kantilal Patel, 57 and Jayesh Kirtikumar Gajjar, 44 both from Ghatlodia were found 46 beer tins and 20 sealed alcohol bottles of international brands in the house.
During the interrogation, they told the police that they get their supply of alcohol from a bootlegger named Ajju who operates from Ranip bridge. As and when Ajju gets the supply, he informs his regular customers including them to take the delivery.
The Sola police have arrested both the accused and the matter is under investigation
