Six people were dead and nearly 10 others were injured when a private bus collided with a dumper truck on a highway in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar district on Tuesday morning.
Superintendent of Police Harshad Patel said that the accident happened near Trapaj village at around 6 am as the bus was travelling from Bhavnagar to Mahuva.
The bus hit the dumper truck from behind. According to the official, the accident claimed the lives of six people and injured eight to 10 others.
He further said that the injured individuals were receiving treatment at a hospital and were reportedly out of danger.
According to authorities, the impact was so fierce that the bus’s right front portion was completely destroyed.
