A day after the State reported a decrease in daily covid cases, Friday saw a dip in the daily covid cases as a daily tally stood at 1883. For the past few days, covid numbers in the State have been decreasing.
New covid cases have marginally decreased to 1883 from 2275 reported on Thursday, a marginal decrease of 285 cases within a day.
Thursday saw the daily covid deaths at 21 in the State, whereas it has decreased to 14 on Friday. These deaths were reported from Ahmedabad 3, Vadodara 4, Surat 1, Dahod 2 and Jamnagar 1.
The number of active cases in the State is 18,301. A total of 105 people in the State are on a ventilator.
While Ahmedabad city remained the biggest contributor with 618 cases, other major contributors include Vadodara with 282 cases, Vadodara rural with 96 cases, Mehsana with 95 cases, Surat with 73 cases, and Gandhinagar with 75 cases. These six regions made up for 70% of the Covid cases recorded today.

According to Central Government data, Active Cases in India, as of 11th February, are 58,077. Whereas daily new cases in the last 24 hours India stood at and the daily positivity rate of India stood at 3.89 percent. Over 74.79 crore COVID Tests have been conducted so far in India.
