The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has announced a significant change in its bus routes to improve connectivity to the new Hirasar Airport, located 35 km away from Rajkot city. The decision was communicated by JB Karotra, the regional director of GSRTC.
Previously, GSRTC operated 14 buses on the Rajkot-Hirasar route to facilitate passenger travel to the new airport. In a recent development, GSRTC has decided to reroute all buses on the Rajkot-Ahmedabad route via Hirasar. This change is expected to enhance connectivity to Hirasar from Rajkot significantly.
Approximately 250 buses ply on the Rajkot-Ahmedabad route. With the new routing decision, all these buses will now stop at Hirasar in both directions – Rajkot to Ahmedabad and vice versa.
