Gujarat State Electricity Corporation has issued a request for proposals for the design, engineering, supply, procurement, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of 27 MW of grid-connected solar projects near GETCO stations (Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation).
These 15 MW grid-connected solar projects are located in Sitagadh and Kuntalpur. Another 12 MW project is being developed in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district. The cost is estimated to be Rs 1.08 billion.
Recently, Fortum Power, Hinduja Renewables Energy, and SJVN were declared winners in Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam’s auction to purchase power from 500 MW of grid-connected solar projects
GSECL has laid down some stringent rules for the same. The winning bidder must handle operations and maintenance for the following five years. Bids must be submitted by April 6 and will be evaluated online. On April 12, the bids will be revealed. All bidders must provide a Rs 10.8 million deposit. Once the letter of intent is authorised, the successful bidder will provide a deposit of 5% of the contract work price within seven days.
Participation is subject to stringent requirements. Participants must have planned, supplied, constructed, supervised, and commissioned grid-connected power plants with an installed capacity of at least 20% of the total bid capacity, with at least one plant having 5% or higher of the overall bid capacity.
Six months before the bidding process, a successful reference project should be submitted. The bidder should have a three-year revenue of Rs 756 million and a net worth of Rs 756 million. For the first year, the minimum capacity utilisation factor should be 23%.
According to GSECL, the minimum certified module efficiency for crystalline should be at least 15% with a minimum fill factor of 0.75. The suggested idea must be financially feasible, and at least one project based on it must be successfully operating in India for at least one fiscal year.
