On Thursday, Gujarat Government’s Core Committee on Covid has announced a relaxation in covid curbs. In the past 18 days, there has been an 800 percent decline in new covid cases and around 375 percent decline in the active covid cases in the state. This relaxation in curbs will come into effect from 11th February in 8 cities of Gujarat and will continue till 18th February.
After looking at the decline in active and new covid cases in the state, Gujarat Government’s Core Committee On Covid, chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, has decided to relax curfew timings to 12 midnight to 5 am till 18th February. Earlier the curfew timing was 10 pm to 5 am.
On Wednesday, Gujarat had logged 2560 new cases, and 24 deaths had been reported due to covid. The number of active covid cases in the state is 27,355, and 171 people in the state are on the ventilator.
