GLS University’s Faculty of Commerce (SMPIC) organised a competition based on the theme CONSERVE TO SERVE. The GLS organised it in light of World Environment Day at the beginning of the academic session under Arthshastra: The Economics Club.
The competition had twofold levels. In phase I, the college organised a Digital Poster Making competition. SMPIC students participated in teams and created a Digital Poster on sustainable development, eco-friendly technology, public awareness, and saving natural resources. The event aimed to spread environmental awareness through art.
In phase II, students prepared eco-friendly models using biodegradable materials on Wednesday, July 13. They used newspapers, crumpled plastic bottles, jute rope, clay, leaves, flowers, boxes, natural colours etc.
Moreover, the cost of the model should be minimum and profit maximising. The students used different marketing strategies to present the model.
Judge Kunal Gidwani announced the winners at the end of the event. Dr Anjali Trivedi and Dr Beena Patel coordinated the event.
