The official trailer of Shakun Batra’s much anticipated film ‘Gehraiyaan’ just dropped, the filmmaker’s last project was Kapoor & Sons (2016) . Gehraiyaan is a relationship drama starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa. The film will be an OTT release, to be premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 11.
The synopsis as per the trailer goes : “Alisha Khanna, 30 year-old ambitious woman who finds herself at a crossroads in life. Her six year long relationship has gone monotonous and her career seems to have hit a setback. Just when she had begun to accept this reality as unchangeable, her cousin Tia and Her fiancé Zian arrived in her life. She bonds with them. The story charts the journey of Alisha and Zain, as they confront the ghost of their past on the path they take to avoid it.”
The cast includes stellar actors like Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor. Batra has written the screenplay along with Sumit Roy and Ayesha Devitre. The music is by Oaff and Savera (Kabeer Kathpalia and Savera Mehta).
Ever since Chhapaak (2020), Gehraiyaan has Deepika Padukon’s full-length role.The film also stars Siddhant Chaturdevi, who was last seen as seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021) and Ananya Panday who recently starred in Khaali Peeli (2020).
