‘Vande Mataram’ means that I praise thee, Mother.
There are two different meanings to this phrase:
- I praise our mother, India that has gone through so much struggle and always helped us.
- I praise my mother, who has gone through different phases, struggles and has been with me throughout my journey.
Both these meanings are almost the same for me as India is my home and my mother. My mother has given me birth to this beautiful world. She has given me the freedom and choice to enjoy and live life my way. In the same way, mother India has also given me a life, a place to worship, a place to celebrate and a place that I can call home.
To me, my freedom is watching movies.
I know many people would write singing, dancing or other things. But I chose watching movies as my freedom as I can see the world from a different perspective. Not only that, it helps take my mind off the stressful things.
