Municipal Transport Service in Ahmedabad has announced a free bus ride on May 7 during the polling hours.
The free bus ride will be for anyone who shows a photocopy of the voter ID card or voters’ slip. Those wanting to avail the facility can also show the inked finger.
The decision has been taken to boost voting.
A note by the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service said that the facility will enable the voters, who are staying away from the election booths, to exercise their franchise easily.
