Cricket legend and former Australian leg spinner Shane Warne passed away on Friday. Shane Warne passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand, of a suspected heart attack. He was 52.
Warne is widely considered one of the best players in history, taking 708 wickets in 145 Test matches.
He was a key member of one of the greatest teams in history, with Australia dominating the sport for much of his 15-year international career.
In a brief statement released on Friday, Warne’s management company confirmed that he passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand, after suffering a heart attack.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa, and despite the best efforts of medical staff, could not be revived,” Warne’s management has confirmed in a statement.
