Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) former Abdasa candidate Vasant Khetani was reportedly attacked in his office after filing a complaint to the Chief Minister against a mining mafia operating in the Kachchh region.
It has emerged that Khetani accused Arjunsinh Sama, the son of BJP MLA Pradyumansinh Jadeja, of reportedly being involved in mineral theft.
This incident took place in Kotda Jadodar village in the Nakhatrana Taluka of Abadasa, where a large quantity of illegally mined minerals was transported, causing significant losses to the government on account of tax evasion.
Khetani, who joined the BJP in Kutch last year, received threats after the police initiated action.
Khetani’s supporters and he were attacked in his office in Kotda Jadodar.
The entire incident was captured by CCTV cameras in Khetani’s office.
In general, people opposing mineral theft have been threatened by those in power. It’s hoped the investigation will uncover the facts.
