World Tourism Day celebration will take place at Ahmedabad airport. This year’s World Tourism Day theme is to focus on the future. Tourism day is on September 27 but the celebrations will go on till October 2.
To create awareness about the day, India Tourism, Mumbai, the regional office of the Ministry of Tourism in the western region, has created a special Rangoli at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, both managed by the Adani Group.
New Beginnings
SVPI airport now connects Ahmedabad, the world’s first heritage city to 14 International and over 30 domestic destinations. On this World tourism day, VietJetAir is starting a direct flight to Hanoi with a frequency of 4 flights per week. The same airline is likely to start another flight for Ho Chi Minh soon. Passenger traffic is increasing during this festive season so are new airlines connecting Ahmedabad to newer destinations.
The ‘Iconic Week’ as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav of the Ministry of Tourism, which began on September 17, will go on till October 2. So, the Rangoli design will stay on for the next seven days.
