Just as pop princess Britney Spears was all set to say “I Do” for the third time to partner Sam Asghari, her first husband, Jason Alexander, gate-crashed the sun-soaked event. He live-streamed the event on Instagram.
After much drama, the police came in, arrested the trespasser and then only, did the nuptials go underway. According to media reports, Spears and partner Sam Asghari were readying to wed at her luxury pad near Los Angeles when the proceedings were interrupted. Jason Alexander, a childhood friend to whom the 40-year-old singer was very briefly married in 2004, crashed in, sparking a police response.
Alexander livestreamed his invasion on Instagram, with footage showing him telling a security guard he had been invited. “Where’s Britney?” he can be heard saying.
Later as he walks into a pink tent festooned with flowers, he identifies himself and says: “So here’s the inside scoop, guys, on the bulls**t wedding.”

Confirmed reports indicate a physical confrontation between the bouncers and Alexander. Thereon, the police were called in. Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said officers were called to investigate reports of someone trespassing and found that Alexander had an outstanding warrant against him from another jurisdiction, so they arrested him. Spears’ wedding to Asghari was not widely trailed, with news of the nuptials appearing in specialist publications only hours earlier.
Around 60 guests were in attendance for the intimate ceremony on Thursday night, including Madonna, Drew Barrymore, and Paris Hilton. Spears, reportedly, wore a Versace gown and walked down the aisle to Elvis’ Can’t Help Falling in Love. Her sons (Sean and Jayden) from her second marriage with Kevin Federline, were not in attendance but posted congratulatory messages online.
Spears and Asghari were engaged in September, shortly before Spears was freed from a 13-year conservatorship battle with her family in November. Their marriage comes not long after the singer announced in May that she suffered a miscarriage, after previously announcing in April that she was pregnant. “Our love for each other is our strength,” Spears wrote on Instagram in May. “We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.
