Vishal Suthar, from Ahmedabad has filed a case in Nikol, against extortion and criminal intimidation. He had apparently borrowed 6.50 lakh from Ankit Dave and Giriraj Jhala.
The inspector of Nikol p-olice, SR Muchhal said that Dave and Jhala have been tested for Covid, and they will be soon arrested if their results are negative.
Suthar said in his FIR that he had taken a loan of Rs 6.5 lakh on 10% monthly interest, 4 years ago. He shared that he had met Dave through his friend Jhala. Suthar claims to have paid the amount payable, bit by bit. He said he had given 3 cheques of a private bank and paid interest for 18 months. He also said he paid 4.50 lakh in July and another 2 lakh in the same month. Despite paying the amount along with interest, he was asked for 15.47 lakh in interest by Jhala. He was threatened as Jhala claimed to be proximate to politicians and Dave claimed to be the son of a BJP corporator from Odhav, Raju Dave.
