The Gujarat Police on Wednesday registered an FIR against 14 people for grabbing property worth a whopping Rs 120 crore.
This follows a complaint by Mavjibhai Maganbhai Desai, chairman of the Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) of Deesa in Banaskantha district.
Just 48 hours ago, the government filed a complaint against 49 people for grabbing State land worth Rs 75 crore. In his FIR, Desai has stated that he had bought 56,393 square metres of land from survey numbers 137, 138, 142, 143, 183, 184 from the accused persons.
He paid Rs 7 crore for the property and registered a sale deed, but the accused persons did not vacate the plot. They created a fake litigation in the civil court against Mavjibhai and his partners.
