Following the Ambaji ghee duplicate row, large amounts of suspicious ghee were seized from Ahmedabad and Jamnagar.
After gathering 10 samples, the Food and Drugs Control Administration (FDCA) confiscated 13,849 kg of ghee valued at Rs 93 lakh, a Gujarat news website reported.
The Special Operation Group (SOG) and the FDCA raided the residence of Chirag Hariya on Friday.
As much as 555 kg of suspiciously contaminated ghee packages weighing 15 kg and 10 kg were seized during the raid.
The FDCA also raided Sarthak Food Products, owned by Ankit Barot in Bakrol, finding ghee packes of different brands.
Another raid in city took place at Shri Harsh Dairy & Food Products Pvt Ltd, owned by Bharat Patel, in Dakroi’s Dhamatwan.
