A Gujarati businessman has registered a police complaint against his ex-employee for stealing the software that the businessman had developed and then selling it in the market for a much cheaper rate.
The cyber cell in Ahmedabad is conducting further investigation after Rajendra Shah, a resident of Palm Beach bungalows in Thaltej registered a complaint against his former employee Jignesh Jain and his friend Nipun Patel. He said both these individuals stole the software and sold it to several people at less than half of his original market rate between 2010 and 2014. He said Jignesh tendered an apology letter to Shah and so Shah decided to give him another chance. But then Jignesh did it again in 2017 after which Jignesh was sacked. When Rajendra Shah came to know that Jignesh was still selling the software, he registered a police complaint for cheating and criminal conspiracy.
Rajendra Shah’s company, he said, developed and sold software for equity, commodities and currency markets.
